Indradyumna (3)

Indradyumna was the King of Dravidas in the south. When Agastya visited Indradyumna, he did not get up from his throne. Agastya was insulted and so cursed Indradyumna to become an elephant. When he begged for mercy, Agastya said that a crocodile would catch him and Vishnu would rescue him. This was the Gajendra (king of elephants).

Indrajit

Indrajit was the eldest son of Rāvana. His original name was Meghanādha. He was an expert in maya warfare (illusionary battles) and when his father Rāvana was defeated by Indra and tied down, Meghanādha went to war with Indra, defeated him, and released Rāvana. After this he was known as Indrajit, one who conquered Indra.
